How Sedation Dentistry Works

Sedation dentistry is safe for most patients. We will perform a full medical history to make sure it will work for you. Your health is always our top priority.

At Greeley Dental Care, we offer oral sedation dentistry to help patients relax or to make lengthy appointments a breeze. Oral sedation dentistry requires a prescription that you will take prior to treatment. We will monitor your vitals using a pulse oximeter and one of our skilled team members will be by your side during your entire appointment, attending to your needs.

During your treatment, you will remain relaxed. Many patients doze off completely. Your appointment will fly by and you will have little to no memory of your treatment, which is one of our patients’ favorite features!

Sedation dentistry will keep you tired for several hours, so someone needs to take you home from your appointment. You should spend the rest of your day relaxing and avoid making any big decisions. By the next morning, you should feel like yourself again.
